JW plastic surgerie’s Breast reduction surgery
Excessive breast enlargement can make the body appear heavy and cause sagging due to the heavy pull of the breasts. It may also lead to pain in the neck, shoulders, and back, and in some cases eczema under the breasts.
Breast reduction surgery is a procedure that reduces the size of overly large breasts and simultaneously correcting saggy shape.
As it is more complex and technically more demanding than breast augmentation,
it is important to undergo the procedure with a skilled and experienced breast specialist.

Types of Breast Reduction Surgery Depending on the Incision Method
When only a small reduction is needed, the surgery can be performed with an incision limited to the areola area.
However, for larger breasts needing a significant reduction, a vertical scar down the breast may remain.

Periareolar Incision Method
- Effective for moderately large breasts
- Shorter surgery time and minimal scarring

Vertical Incision Method
- Creates a fuller and more projected breast shape compared to the periareolar incision method
- Leaves less scarring than the inverted-T incision method

Inverted-T Incision Method
- Can correct very large and sagging breasts
- Allows the largest amount of breast volume reduction among all surgical methods

Vertical Scar-Free Incision Method
- Applicable for very large breasts
- No vertical incision scar remaining
- Slightly flatter breast shape compared to the inverted-T incision method
Recovery After Breast Reduction Surgery
01
You may feel some pain for 1 to 2 days after surgery, but it can be controlled with simple medication.
02
After about two days, the dressing is removed, and you will wear a soft bra for several weeks after surgery.
03
Swelling and discoloration around the incision usually disappear within a few days, and stitches are removed one week after surgery
※ Common postoperative complications such as bleeding or infection may vary depending on the individual, so close monitoring is required.
